FassionCave Launch – VIP Shoe Party

by Vercess

To launch the birth of FassionCave, we decided to host a family and friends event in a form of a Shoe Party. I have never heard of this word myself, in fact I envisioned that it would be a perfect idea to hold a party that includes food, drinks, music and shopping.

We were lucky to find a venue at Oxford Hotel that accomodated 50 guests in a beautiful sunken cellar. The feeling that I  got from this venue is “cave-like” with its stone walls and that feeling of discovery as soon as you go downstairs. It was the perfect venue albeit the weekend band and dim lighting – it gave such a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

Here are some of the photos from the night, with happy faces from the ladies.

We were able to showcase the selection of boots, high heels , ballet flats and wedges from our brands: Perth local designer -VanGoh Shoes and Brazilian Brands- Ramarim, Vizzano, Moleca and Beira Rio.

FassionCave Winter Photoshoot

by Vercess

It was a beautiful and sunny day in Perth, Australia yesterday and how lucky are we to have the photoshoot planned on this day after a long week of cold and stormy weather.

We wanted to showcase our models with their smart workwear as well as casual weekend look to complement FassionCave’s heels and boots to wear for work and play.

Kate is wearing the Ramarim leather heels in Guava and Lyella is wearing the Ramarim leather heels in teal. I love how the shoes lift and compliment their workwear.

Kate is wearing the Ramarim Texas Brown leather boots and Lyella with the Vizzano Paris black boots. Even our models said that the  shoes are very comfortable!

Kate is wearing the Ramarim Brown lace up boots and what a pose, its so chic!

Top Boot Trends for Winter

by Vercess

If you want a selection of the best winter boots, then you need to choose high quality products that will last you the entire season. Winter boots should have thick soles that will give you a grip on slippery pavements. They should also be able comfortable and all weather proof.

The best boots to wear during the winter are leather boots. One of the trendiest styles this winter are cowboy inspired boots. These can come with one to three inch heels, but no more! These shoes are meant for running around all day in the city. Check out our Ramarim leather boots cowboy inspired boots!

Leather boots can come in a variety of dressier styles too. For example, ankle boots with a stiletto heel will look great with your club wear. Think hardware for the embellishments on your ankle boots such as zippers, chains, straps and studs. My favourite is the Ramarim Black leather boots with pink trims! Edgy and rough on the outside but feels like stepping on pillows on the inside.

There are plenty of wedge heels to go around as well. These will be featured in ankle boots up to thigh highs. If you are in the mood for a functional boot that will give you an edge on height, then a lace up wedge boot is what you need. You can find these boots in a variety of colors and materials. Just ensure that the heel is not too high and that you are able to walk comfortably. Check out these Vizzano lace up wedge ankle boots that are selling like hotcakes.
Vizzano Milan Beige Ankle Boots
As for more classic boots, you can always choose brown or black leather knee boots. These boots look great with everything from jeans to a little black dress. You can count on them to carry you through the season and for many to come. Check out Vangoh’s stunning knee high leather boots – they are unique and will definitely be a stand out!
If you want to be on top of the fashion trends, then get a pair of boots that features buckled straps or a wedge heels. This will give your boots an edge over the classic styles you see every year.

How to look after your leather shoes

by Vercess
Winter is approaching and it will soon be time to put away your sandals and open-toe shoes! Your leather boots and flats take a beating each year as the rain and cold weather begin. If you take proper care of your leather shoes, then they will last you years and not months. Folllow these tips to make sure your leather does not crack!
1) Condition and Nourishment
Leather shoes are all you wear during winter; by the end of the season, they are completely wrecked! You need to polish your leather boots with a nourishing creme to keep them supple. You would not let your dry hands go without lotions, right? The same care should be applied to your leather footwear. They need to be conditioned and cleaned in order to be kept in top shape.
2) Waterproofing
A leather shoe made of suede is very delicate and prone to winter weather destruction. You can keep your suede shoes protected by waterproofing them. Shoe stores sell this special spray which you should then use liberally. You can use a waterproof spray on all types of leather. However, suede is the only leather in true danger of wet weather due to its delicate nature. Using a waterproof spray will prolong its life immensely.
3) A Simple Clean
The easiest way to take care of leather footwear is as simple as a damp rag. If you use a wet cloth to polish your boots after each use, then your leather will remain in top shape. You should not let your shoes sit with grime or mud caked on them. If you do, the leather will become dry and cracked. Think about your own skin after you have removed a clay mask. Your skin feels dehydrated and in need of moisturizer. The same rules apply to leather footwear.
