Key Looks for 2013 Part 2: Perennial Heritage

2013 is all about the autumnal palette. Oranges, lush greens and earthy tones are back in season! Think quirky prints and fur trims and neutral or a tinge of animal print in your heels!

I am in love with this Carolina Herrera dress worn by one of my favourite fashion icons, Camilla Belle. I think the orange and green is a great contrast but very flattering for olive/mediterranean skin.

Think Victorian lady explorers in Africa such as Mary Kingsley for inspiration, seamless elegance and neutral soft fabric.

Perennial look is simple and demure and you can’t go wrong with this look in 2013.

Step into the New Year right

New Year brings so much hope. New starts, new resolutions, new goals, new dreams & new heels.

Looking back at 2012, It was a big year for us. FassionCave was launched and many shoe parties celebrated and new shoes bought.

 

Here are the highlights & lessons in 2012 for us:

1. Although we are a purely online business, we realise the importance of the physical joys of shopping. So we introduced “Shoe Parties” in which the host invites her friends for a party with food, drinks and ofcourse shoe shopping at home. We will do more of this so please register your interest by contacting us.

2. We know that our customers deserve only the best in quality and comfort. We are not like any other shop, we believe in the quality and craftmanship of our products.

So we will endeavour to source more of the shoes that you want and will always want to wear every season.

3. We realise that more and more people prefer online shopping for convenience. We will continue to provide good service and great deals and irresistible cave deals for the smart shopper.

It was a big year for the team, major life changes and milestones and from all of us at FassionCave – we want to extend our thanks to you. For your support throughout the year.

May 2013 be as fruitful and from all of us here at FassionCave… May the shoe be with you.

FassionCave Launch – VIP Shoe Party

To launch the birth of FassionCave, we decided to host a family and friends event in a form of a Shoe Party. I have never heard of this word myself, in fact I envisioned that it would be a perfect idea to hold a party that includes food, drinks, music and shopping.

We were lucky to find a venue at Oxford Hotel that accomodated 50 guests in a beautiful sunken cellar. The feeling that I  got from this venue is “cave-like” with its stone walls and that feeling of discovery as soon as you go downstairs. It was the perfect venue albeit the weekend band and dim lighting – it gave such a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

Here are some of the photos from the night, with happy faces from the ladies.

We were able to showcase the selection of boots, high heels , ballet flats and wedges from our brands: Perth local designer -VanGoh Shoes and Brazilian Brands- Ramarim, Vizzano, Moleca and Beira Rio.

FassionCave Winter Photoshoot

It was a beautiful and sunny day in Perth, Australia yesterday and how lucky are we to have the photoshoot planned on this day after a long week of cold and stormy weather.

We wanted to showcase our models with their smart workwear as well as casual weekend look to complement FassionCave’s heels and boots to wear for work and play.

Kate is wearing the Ramarim leather heels in Guava and Lyella is wearing the Ramarim leather heels in teal. I love how the shoes lift and compliment their workwear.

 

Kate is wearing the Ramarim Texas Brown leather boots and Lyella with the Vizzano Paris black boots. Even our models said that the  shoes are very comfortable!

Colour my world

It has been cold and rainy in Perth, Australia this past week. Infact, all I can think about is piling on layers and layers of clothing, socks and hibernating in my bed under my sheets.

Looking at the positive side, the dreary dull weather is an opportunity for fashionistas! Lets beat the dark, dull winter with colours!

CURRENT OBSESSION: JEWEL TONES


I must admit, that I love jewel tones and I’m quite pleased to see these colours have come out for the winter season.

Think emerald green, topaz yellow, ruby red. They bring out a zest of freshness to beat the winter blues. Check out these ones on the catwalk by Issey Miyake, Victoria Beckham and Thakoon!



You can add a hint of jewel tone in your winter outfit with scarves, accessories , heels or boots! 

 

These leather Ramarim heels are a great way to add colour to your winter wardrobe! Not only they are cute they are super comfy too you can literally run with these.

Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Don’t blend in to the winter by wearing all-black outfit, on the other hand, explore, play and have fun while you’re at it!

Top Boot Trends for Winter

If you want a selection of the best winter boots, then you need to choose high quality products that will last you the entire season. Winter boots should have thick soles that will give you a grip on slippery pavements. They should also be able comfortable and all weather proof.

The best boots to wear during the winter are leather boots. One of the trendiest styles this winter are cowboy inspired boots.These can come with one to three inch heels, but no more! Leather boots can come in a variety of dressier styles too. For example, ankle boots with a stiletto heel will look great with your club wear. Paris is the city of high fashion both on the runway and the street. The City of Lights might be heading into Spring, but the dreary weather keeps Parisians in their boots all year long. For a true Paris fashion look, then stick to these shoes for look that is both chic and transitional.

Paris style relies on versatile and classic looks. The canvas boot is the quintessential Parisian shoe of the moment. This is the ultimate transitional shoe thanks to its neutral colors and light look. You can wear a pair of these with jeans and a blazer for a preppy look that will last you all Autumn long.

Different boots and how to wear them

The crisp fall air makes you want to retreat indoors and turn up the heat. However, you will need to venture outside eventually! You should invest in warm winter boots to keep you comfortable during the next few months. There are many styles to choose from trendy ankle boots to classic Sherpa-lined footwear. We are here to help you narrow down your decision on what to buy and how to wear your new winter boots.
1) Glitter Boots

The first boot that you should buy this season is the glittery boot! The shoes have been seen in the runway from Robert Clergie to Miu Miu. However, you can find cheaper versions online or at your favorite high street stores. These boots are great for dressing up a pair of jeans during the day.
